Job Description

We are growing! TEC Canada is searching for a Chair Support Advisor. Our Chair Support team oversees the development and success of our Chair community, from onboarding to retirement. In this role, you will act as the main point of contact and subject matter expert to guide TEC Canada Chairs through their journey.



This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact by empowering TEC Chairs to build stronger, more successful peer advisory groups. You will act as a strategic partner and influencer, driving growth, accountability, and long-term success for both Chairs and TEC.



This position is based in Calgary, AB, and will work from TEC Canada's office in downtown Calgary.

RESPONSIBILITIES





Strategic Chair Development


Lead Chairs through their entire journey, acting as a trusted advisor from onboarding through group-building, launch, and operating phases. Empower Chairs to refine their strategies, overcome challenges, and achieve measurable results. Drive accountability by setting clear expectations, creating action plans, and ensuring follow-through.

Relationship Management


Build trust and long-term partnerships with Chairs by fostering open, candid, and results-oriented conversations. Serve as the first point of contact for Chairs, maintaining a consistent and impactful presence. Represent TEC Canada's standards, policies, and values, and balance advocacy with accountability while enabling Chair success. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, translating complex information into clear, actionable guidance for Chairs, and conveying partner insights internally with accuracy, diplomacy, and impact.

Performance Analysis and Guidance


Monitor growth targets, member satisfaction, and other key metrics to provide actionable insights. Identify opportunities for improvement and additional training, ensuring Chairs remain on track to achieve their goals.

Organizational Excellence


Maintain structured systems, tools, and documentation to ensure Chairs and internal teams are aligned and informed. Apply strong organizational skills to track multiple partners, groups, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously.

Collaboration and Innovation


Recognize the interdependencies across TEC departments (sales, marketing, operations, finance, and technology and innovation) and address challenges that impact the Chair experience. Partner with internal teams to innovate and improve processes that support Chair success. Actively contribute to department-wide initiatives and projects. Provide coverage and support to other team members to seamlessly ensure a continuity and consistency of support.

Proactive Problem-Solving


Anticipate challenges and provide strategic solutions to support Chairs' progress. Escalate critical issues when necessary while maintaining ownership of outcomes.



QUALIFICATIONS




Post-secondary education or 5+ years of equivalent work experience in account management, relationship management, sales, recruitment or a similar role. Proven ability to empower through collaboration, inspiring others to act while driving measurable results. Strong understanding of sales or partnership-building processes, including objection handling and relationship-based strategies. Demonstrated ability to build rapport with C-Suite level professionals. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively. Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools, preferably Microsoft Dynamics. Bilingual French/English is an asset.
