Summary

We are seeking two skilled Certified Utility Arborists to join our team in Kamloops, BC and surrounding areas within 1 to 1.5 hours outside of Kamloops, BC, to provide tree trimming/removals in close proximity to live powerlines and to do residential tree work when required.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the health and safety of trees while contributing to our mission of enhancing the beauty of our community through expert tree care.

Responsibilities

Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal as needed, including climbing trees and using bucket trucks to perform these duties in close proximity to live power lines. Operate bucket trucks and rigging equipment safely and efficiently both on residential job sites and in close proximity to live powerlines. Assess tree health and provide recommendations for care. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition. Document work performed and maintain accurate records. Educate clients on tree care best practices. Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Certified Utility Arborist or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and care techniques. Proficiency in rigging techniques and bucket truck operation. Familiarity with GIS technology is a plus. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
Hourly rates range from $40.00/hour to $46.00/hour depending on experience and work efficiency. Benefits are available after 6 months of being employed by the company.
