The selected Light Duty Mechanic will have a high focus on safety and environmental protection in all aspects of the job. This position will report to the Site Services Team Leader.Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, inspecting and repairing light duty equipment
  • Cleaning and lubricating equipment component
  • Provide minor component replacement
  • Light welding and fabrication
  • Low voltage electrical repairs
  • Assist in minimizing equipment downtime and maintenance
  • Ensure optimum overall equipment effectiveness through proactive PM, PdM-based maintenance practices
  • Work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals - both within department and inter-departmentally
Requirements
  • Must possess a high school diploma
  • Certified Journeyperson Mechanic
  • Class A License, Truck and Coach License, Ozone Depletion certification.
  • Minimum 5 years\' experience in an industrial environment
  • Heavy Duty experience and Welding experience would be an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening)
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
