Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Developmental Service Worker to join our team. Responsibilities

Provide direct assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Support clients in meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met. Assist with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers. Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate personnel. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop individualized care plans.

Experience

Candidates should have experience or skills in the following areas:

Assisted living and senior care settings. Patient care, including experience in nursing homes or hospice care environments. Working with individuals with disabilities, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Home care or caregiving experience that demonstrates compassion and dedication to client well-being. Familiarity with cleaning protocols and maintaining a hygienic living space. Ability to perform nursing tasks as required by the client's needs.
