Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. This position is available to start on part time basis, with the possibility of future full-time employment for a right candidate.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and support staff.

Duties



Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain patient records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area to adhere to safety standards. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care. Utilize dental software 'Tracker practice management system' for record keeping and scheduling.

Requirements



Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry. Experience in general restorative, pediatrics, endodontics, oral surgery Invisalign/orthodontics, or general dental assisting is preferred. Familiarity with dental receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and patient communication. Experience with iTero scanner, Invisalign Practice app and Tracker Practice Management software is an asset Knowledge of CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design) software such as PrimeScan/Cerec Prime Mill is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00-$34.35 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
