The CMD team leads Vale\xe2\x80\x99s efforts to return value to the company from excess materials, equipment and assets no longer required by operations. The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Centre for Materials Disposal Coordinator to join our Procurement and Inbound Logistics Department in Sudbury, ON. This is a permanent position working at our Sudbury Operations on a Monday to Friday schedule.

Reporting to the CMD Supervisor, the CMD Coordinator is responsible for supporting the CMD operations in Canada. Additionally, in this position, you will:

  • Implement systems where employees, equipment and processes are protected against hazards; be a role model for safety, health and environment action.
  • Identify improvement opportunities/enhancements and work with the CMD team across all sites to implement the enhancements.
  • Help to ensure CMD to Vale\xe2\x80\x99s norms as required for internal and external auditing criteria.
  • Support CMD Canada with Contract Management, reconciliation of accounts, and contractor relations.
  • Record Canadian SAP entries for all CMD activities.
  • Work with the CMD Commercial group to ensure entries into the Sales Request systems are complete and up to date.
  • Support the leadership in policy creation and managing workflow changes in CMD Canadian operations.
  • Lead various initiatives assigned by the CMD Canada Leadership.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures (VPS).
  • Travel as required.
About You

Education:
  • College diploma in a relatable discipline would be considered asset.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-4 years in a similar role.
  • Previous mining experience would be considered an asset.
  • Previous industrial on-site experience would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with the operation of forklifts, zoom booms, telehandlers, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Experience with SAP software
Skills:
  • Must have strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
