Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchaser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials & parts necessary for our operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the parts ordering runs smoothly, costs are optimized, and vendor relationships are maintained effectively.

Responsibilities

Source and evaluate potential vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services Manage purchase orders within Jonas system. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable conditions. Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong vendor relationships through effective communication and management Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and quality standards

Skills

Proficiency in Jonas Minimum 1 yr experience in Trucking industry Must have strong understanding of commercial trucks, trailers, buses and heavy equipment Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure optimal terms with suppliers Ability to analyze market data to identify cost-saving opportunities Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing purchase orders and contracts Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and with external vendors

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
