Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Registered Pharmacy Technician on a permanent full-time basis for our Co-op Central Services Pharmacy located in Regina, SK. This position requires you to be on-site 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. The CCS facility is closed all weekends and statutory holidays.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

The goal of the Co-op Central Services Facility is to provide exceptional prescription fulfillment services to pharmacies across the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) contributing to the overall success and the Co-op legacy of providing outstanding patient-oriented professional care.

In this role, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for:

  • Receiving prescriptions from Co-op pharmacies, ensuring they are complete and accurate.
  • Performing the technical functions related to the dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Performing final verification of prepared orders ensuring the accuracy before distribution.
  • Ensuring the smooth movement of prescription orders through the production line and the preparation for delivery to the local Co-op Pharmacies.
  • Communicating with retails and ensuring orders are filled, billed, and delivered accurately and in a timely manner addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Ensuring the proper maintenance and operation of automated packaging equipment.
  • Maintaining pharmacy inventory by re-stocking, forecasting medication and supplies, placing, and expediting orders, and removing outdated product.
  • Updating the dispensary records, including patient prescriptions, purchases and sales of pharmaceuticals, and receiving of narcotics and controlled substances.
  • Reporting all discrepancies to the Pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager.
  • Adhering to all federal and provincial laws governing pharmacy practices and medication handling ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.

The Team: You will work with a team of dedicated pharmacy professionals, a Staff Pharmacist and five Pharmacy Assistants. You will be reporting directly to the Staff Pharmacist. This team strives to cultivate a culture of innovation, growth, and autonomy.

The Customers: You will support the pharmacies throughout the CRS, providing top-tier customer service and maintaining regular communication with all stakeholders on services and deliveries.

Who you are:

You have:
  • A Regulated Pharmacy Technician license and are in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals, or are eligible for registration.
  • 1-2 years experience working in a retail dispensary, Central Fill experience would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work as a team and independently
  • A friendly and positive demeanor and a professional and brand-oriented approach
