Position Summary:Acuren is currently recruiting for Certified CEDO Technicians to join our team at our client site at Shell Scotford!
If you are seeking a dynamic industrial environment with opportunities for individual growth and learning, this is for you. Responsibilities:Radiographic Operations:

  • Perform radiographic testing using gamma-ray or X-ray equipment to inspect materials, components, or structures for defects.
  • Set up and calibrate exposure devices, ensuring proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
  • Interpret radiographic images and document results in clear and accurate reports.
Safety Compliance:
  • Follow all safety protocols, including handling radioactive materials and exposure devices.
  • Conduct regular equipment and safety checks to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Technical Proficiency:
  • Operate exposure devices, film processing equipment, and other related tools with precision and care.
  • Maintain accurate records of radiographic work, including logs of materials, exposures, and results.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with equipment.
Requirements:
  • Required Certifications: Valid CEDO and IRATA Certs (or willingness to obtain IRATA - we provide in-house training!).
  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years in industrial radiographic testing; technical training preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of NDT techniques, radiographic equipment, and image interpretation; familiarity with relevant safety regulations.
  • Core Attributes: Strong work ethic, safety awareness, and quality focus.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Positive client relations and teamwork.
  • Problem-Solving: Self-motivated, with effective time management and technical proficiency.
