Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Owner Operator Driver to join our team. This role is essential for transporting goods efficiently and safely across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service while managing their own vehicle. Experience with different types of trailers and freight is highly valued.

Duties

Operate a tractor-trailer for the transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries. Manage various types of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and dump trucks. Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption in accordance with DOT regulations. Navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transport. Utilize forklifts or other equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.

Experience

Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving is required. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in freight transportation is advantageous. Knowledge of operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus. Strong understanding of route driving and logistics management. Ability to work independently while demonstrating excellent time management skills.
