Overview

We are seeking dedicated and experienced short-haul truck owner-operators who have their own truck (power only) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight within the GTA, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all transportation regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight over short distances, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, rest periods, and mileage as required by federal regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Load and unload freight as necessary, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment when required. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance during trips. Follow established routes and schedules while being flexible to adapt to changes in delivery plans.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. The candidate must have his/her own truck (power only) no trailer needed. Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly in short haul. Knowledge of temparature controlled goods is required. Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and make decisions on the road. Excellent communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and clients. Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations throughout all operations. Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance on the road.

Pay: $2,500.00-$4,000.00 per week
