Our Prosthodontic Specialty practice is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented CDA I or II (Certified Dental Assistant I or II) to join our dynamic and patient-oriented dental team. The ideal candidate will have a good background in dental assisting, with experience in restorative and surgical procedures, and proficiency with dental software systems such Dentrix. This role offers an opportunity to work in a relaxed-paced environment where patient care and clinical excellence are prioritized. The CDA II will support our dentist by providing exceptional chairside assistance, discuss treatment options with patients, front desk duties and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Candidates with knowledge of medical/dental terminology, CAD CAM technologies, and dental assisting best practices will thrive in this position.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a variety of prosthodontic procedures, including crown and bridge, dental implants, dentures and oral surgery such placement and restoration, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies prior to patient appointments.
Manage patient records accurately using dental software system such as Dentrix.
Take radiographs, prepare dental materials, and assist with sterilization protocols to maintain infection control standards.
Provide excellent patient service as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments, billings and answering patient inquiries.
Support the clinical team with administrative tasks related to patient care documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to all safety and health regulations.
Utilize CAD tools for certain procedures and lab work as required by the practice.
Qualifications
Certified Dental Assistant I or II (CDA I or II) certification required.
Proven experience working with Dentrix dental management software.
Knowledge of prosthodontics procedures is ideal but not a must. We are willing to teach and mentor.
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare settings.
Experience in dental assisting with proficiency in dental radiography, sterilization, and infection control protocols.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and clinical tasks.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience with CAD technology is a plus but not mandatory. This role is integral to delivering high-quality patient care while supporting the overall efficiency of our practice. We seek motivated professionals committed to excellence in dental health services.
