We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing catering operations, ensuring high-quality food service, and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong background in food preparation, team management, and hospitality to deliver outstanding catering experiences for our clients.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily catering operations, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards
Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes to meet event requirements
Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to foster a productive team environment
Oversee the setup and breakdown of catering events, ensuring all equipment is properly handled
Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and kitchen equipment, placing orders as necessary
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues that arise during events
Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for efficient order processing and cash handling
Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new team members
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction
Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction management
Background in restaurant management or hospitality is preferred
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of catering operations
Experience in interviewing and training staff members effectively
