We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Supervisor to oversee food service operations for various events and venues. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising food preparation, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. The Catering Supervisor will play a key role in coordinating team efforts to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
Duties
Supervise daily catering operations, including food preparation, serving, and cleanup
Oversee kitchen activities, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
Manage and train catering staff, including interviewing potential team members and conducting performance evaluations
Coordinate with clients to customize menus and meet specific event requirements
Handle POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems for order processing and billing
Ensure timely delivery of catering services while maintaining quality standards
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food handling procedures
Lead team management efforts by assigning tasks, motivating staff, and fostering a collaborative work environment
Maintain detailed records of daily operations, customer feedback, and staff performance
Uphold hospitality standards by providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues promptly
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food service or restaurant industry
Strong supervisory experience with team management capabilities in a hospitality or restaurant setting
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for cash handling and order processing
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to address client needs professionally
Leadership qualities with experience in interviewing, training, and supervising staff
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food industry standards
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in hotel or catering management is highly desirable
Skills in restaurant management, serving, hospitality operations, and kitchen experience are advantageous
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and event coordination

Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $18.00-$25.10 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
