Summary

Under the direction of the Head Cook, the Catering Server plays a key role in delivering exceptional service during events. Our servers bring professionalism, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality to every function.
Key Responsibilities
Provide excellent food and beverage service for catered events, ensuring all client expectations and banquet event orders are met.
Assist with event set-up, service, and tear down, including room preparation, table settings, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the event.
Refresh meeting rooms discreetly during breaks, replenish supplies, and replace used dishware/glassware as needed.
Serve meals and beverages in a timely manner, with strong menu knowledge to answer guest questions.
Maintain professional presentation of function spaces, storage areas, and back-of-house service areas.
Support inventory needs by ensuring supplies (linens, water, plates, etc.) are stocked and communicating shortages to the team.
Uphold Westerner Park's health, safety, and food handling standards at all times.
Participate in pre-shift meetings and contribute to positive team communication.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications
Ability to start work as early as 6:30 AM when required.
ProServe certification (required).
Previous serving experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering (required).
Experience with banquet/catering set-up is an asset.
Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to handle fast-paced environments and remain professional under pressure.
Must meet Westerner Park's vehicle insurance requirements (preferred).
Work Environment
Mobile role requiring long periods of standing and walking.
Fast-paced, event-based environment with lifting and handling of hot food containers.
Shifts vary depending on event needs and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation & Employment Terms
Wage: $15.00 - $16.32 per hour
Employment Type: Casual, seasonal, event-based.
Hours are not guaranteed and may vary depending on event schedules.
Casual employees may work up to 24 hours per week during peak times.
Employment generally runs October through the end of the hockey season or as needed for events.
