Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Catering Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting catering events by preparing, serving, and maintaining food service areas to ensure a seamless guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food handling and food safety protocols. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing exceptional service for various events and functions.

Duties

Identify and contact potential clients to promote the restaurant's catering services and generate new sales. Market catering packages to businesses, community groups, event planners, and walk-in customers. Respond to catering inquiries, prepare quotes, and follow up to secure bookings. Build and maintain relationships with clients to drive repeat business and referrals. Promote seasonal specials, bulk orders, and new menu items to increase overall catering sales. Maintain an updated database of leads, prospects, and confirmed orders. Coordinate catering orders with the kitchen team to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. Provide excellent customer service to enhance client satisfaction and support future sales growth. Track sales activities, report weekly results, and support management in meeting revenue targets.

Experience

Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided Experience in guest services or hospitality roles is highly desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is a plus Experience with food preparation or serving at hotel or event venues is advantageous Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
