Position Summary:

Radisson Hotel and Conference Centre Calgary Airport is looking for the position of Catering Manager who provides support to our sales and events team. This role is the first point of contact with customers. Must be comfortable dealing with customers in person, over the phone, and via email. This position has great growth potential for the right individual.

Duties

Plan and execute catering events from start to finish, including menu selection, staffing, and logistics. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring all requirements are met. Supervise food preparation and presentation to guarantee adherence to food safety standards and quality control. Manage inventory and ordering of supplies, ensuring timely delivery for events. Train and mentor catering staff on food handling procedures, customer service excellence, and operational efficiency. Maintain communication with kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution of events. Address any guest concerns or issues promptly to uphold high standards of guest services. Develop relationships with vendors for sourcing quality ingredients and supplies.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food handling and food safety regulations within the food industry. Proficiency in food preparation techniques and an understanding of culinary practices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests. Experience in a hotel sales and catering Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership qualities to motivate and guide the catering team effectively. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
