Purpose
We are looking for a
Category Manager
to join our team. We require a dedicated individual who is interested in working with a great team, in a respectful and rewarding environment. This position will serve as a vital role in supporting our current long-term team of experts. You will work directly with supply partners to source the best options for our customers while strengthening and growing supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales, optimize inventory and improve profitability
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms and product availability
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.
Analysis of existing and new industry trends within a given category
Set competitive pricing structures and promotional plans to maximize category performance.
Work closely with purchasing and operations teams to ensure appropriate stock levels and efficient supply chain management.
Partner with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to align category goals with business objectives
Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market conditions to measure category success and adjust strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
Proven experience in
category management, purchasing, or product management
within the
industrial supply sector
(or a related field).
Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and develop strategic plans.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in inventory management and ERP systems.
Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
