Category Analyst - Hybrid

We\'re looking for a Category Analyst to join our Product and Business Planning team! As the Cateogy Analyst, you will be utilizing your keen sense for data analysis to analyze product sell-through, update sales and purchase forecasts, and analyze P&L.
Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate product trends and run rate
  • Perform competitive market analysis for trends and promotions
  • Estimate rolling month-end inventory based on forecast
  • Communicate the purchase plan to the Sales team
  • Compare and analyze variances between monthly budgets and actuals, and provide commentary
  • Prepare revenue budget plans for assigned products and present to the manager
  • Follow-up with Canon Japan on shipment and delivery orders

To Succeed, You Will Need
  • Post-Secondary education with a focus on supply chain or business administration
  • 3-5 years of related work experience
  • Strong ability to analyze forecasts
  • Experience with P&L, analysis of and providing recommendations based on P&L
  • Excellent computer and technical skills - focus on MS Excel Vlookups, Pivots and If-statements
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines
  • French or Japanese is considered an asset
