About the Role:

As a Cat and Critter Sitter, you'll care for pets, (mostly cats but also rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, ferrets etc.), in their own homes while their humans are away.

We offer drop in visits ranging from 30 minute visits to overnight stays which are 12 hours in duration. Therefore, you must have your own vehicle to go to and from visits.

Duties Include:

Feeding/watering, playtime, litter box maintenance, administering medications (if needed), providing daily updates to clients and posting on social media.

Responsibilities also include; monitoring health and behaviour of the pet, basic household tasks such as collecting mail and watering plants.

Cleaning up pet messes and keeping the home clean while the clients are away.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Own reliable transportation Strong writing skills for detailed daily reports to clients Ability to work independently Availability for visits: mornings, afternoons, weekends and overnight Prior pet care experience (professional or personal) is a must Love for animals; A genuine passion for working with animals is essential. Basic Pet Care Knowledge, (understanding pet behaviour, nutrition, and common health issues.) Physical Fitness: (ability to handle pets, bend/crouch down to clean litter boxes, clean enclosures, and provide exercise.) Communication skills: (clear communication with pet owners is crucial.) Organizational Skills: (managing multiple duties and tasks effectively within the length of the visit). Problem-Solving Skills: (addressing unexpected situations or issues that may arise.) Flexibility: (ability to adapt to different priorities and owner schedules.)
