Ready to bring your best?Overview of the RoleAssists in all the functions relating to the efficient operation of the Quality Control Department.Complies with the Quality Control and Laboratory programs and contributes to its implementation.Salary$24.25How you will make contributions that matter:

• Complies and monitors adherence to GMPs, and participates in the plants HACCP and food safety programs.
• Conducts proper sample collection of raw materials, ingredients, in-process and finished products, or other samples as required.
• Performs all required micro, organoleptic and chemical analysis thoroughly as per procedure and ensures that records are kept accurately.
• Performs QC Hold & Release on raw materials, ingredients, packaging or finished product when needed.
• Performs environmental swabbing as required.
• Performs calibration on laboratory and plant equipment as required.
• Prepares reports and communicates results in a timely and accurate manner.
• Performs laboratory cleaning and housekeeping as required.
• Ensures that all work is performed safely while following OH&S, WCB, and Company regulations and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Associate degree required (Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred) on one of the following:

• Degree in Microbiology or Food Science;
• Completion of a two or three-year college program in Chemical, or a Biochemical or Chemical Engineering technology or a closely related discipline.
• Completion of a two or three-year college program in a field related to Agriculture, Biology or Microbiology.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Capable of analytical thinking.
• Capable of covering all shifts in the Laboratory as per the Saskatchewan Employment Act.
