Qualifications:
Must have attained an MLA diploma from a college with an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program
including MLPAO or CSLMLS certification.
Duties may include the following: Accessioning/receipt of specimens (Meditech)
Batching and dispatch of specimens, i.e., organization of referral specimens
Pre analytical work in various lab disciplines, i.e. Flow Cytometry, POCT, Microbiology, Core lab, Pathology, etc., as
trained/required, i.e., specimen preparation and set up, storage Equipment operations (programming, loading), troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, i.e., centrifuges, track
system Troubleshooting problems, i.e., specimen rejection, safety reports, etc.
Training and mentoring staff
Inventory/supply receipt, storage, maintaining stock, etc.
Environmental monitoring/recording, i.e., humidity, etc.
Compliance with quality & safety protocols, i.e., biosafety, biohazardous containment level 2 zone, etc.
Cleaning and decontamination of work areas
Any other assigned duties
Salary Range: $32.590 to 37.260
