In this energetic role, services will include helping individuals and families facing homelessness, crisis, or other difficult circumstances. The role centres on offering safe accommodation, and practical assistance to promote well-being and stability for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and orient new residents to shelter facilities, outlining rules and available services. Monitor the safety, security, and cleanliness of the shelter environment. Assist residents with daily needs, hygiene supplies, and referrals to community resources. Provide crisis intervention and, maintaining a respectful and non-judgmental approach. Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Respond professionally to emergencies or conflicts, following established policies and procedures. promoting the charity's activities, and engaging with the public.

Qualifications and Skills

Diploma or certificate in social services, community work, or a related field is often preferred. vulnerable sector check. CPR and First Aid. Experience supporting vulnerable populations, such as those experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or addiction, is an asset. Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Reliable transportation
