Haztech is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) to join our team for travel nursing opportunities across Ontario for long term care facilities. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, under the direction of a registered nurse, and ensuring that their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

The position of travel RPN with Haztech offers the opportunity to work on contracts of varying lengths, ranging from a few days to 3-6 months. Haztech provides competitive wages along with travel, meal allowance, and accommodations for the duration of each contract.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for residents
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and maintain accurate medication records
• Monitor and record vital signs and other health parameters
• Assist with resident mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Provide education and support to residents and their families
• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident health records

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:

• Current RPN license in Ontario
• Diploma in practical nursing from an accredited institution
• 1+ years of experience as an LPN in a long-term care setting
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
