Casual Production Technicians Atlantic Cultivation is currently compiling a list of casual workers to join our Production Team on an as-needed basis. We\xe2\x80\x99re a Canadian cannabis company located in St. John\xe2\x80\x99s, NL. We operate a world class, state-of the-art, indoor cannabis facility where we cultivate cannabis using top feed drip hydroponics in rockwool, and we\xe2\x80\x99re rapidly growing. The only restriction to availability is that our facility operates Mon to Fri day shifts. If you are only available on evenings and/or weekends then this wouldn\xe2\x80\x99t work out, unfortunately. We cannot guarantee hours as these are casual positions but would need candidates who are available for at least 3 shifts p/week, if needed. This is a great opportunity for: \xc2\xb7 Those who want extra income without the commitment of a permanent position \xc2\xb7 Those who want to learn new skills in a new industry The Production Technician Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: \xc2\xb7 Maintain plant and crop health under the guidance of department leads. \xc2\xb7 Scout croups for signs of basic plant problems, such as discolouration, pests, and diseases. \xc2\xb7 Propagation and management of propagated plants. \xc2\xb7 Work as part of a packaging line where attention to detail is crucial. \xc2\xb7 Trimming cannabis, making hash, rosin, or other products as advised. \xc2\xb7 Using a pre-roll machine. \xc2\xb7 Ensure shipping and receiving activities are done accurately and on time. \xc2\xb7 At all times, follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all production activities to produce consistent quality cannabis products. \xc2\xb7 Ensure workspace, equipment, tools and production areas are clean and sanitary, and within regulatory guidelines. \xc2\xb7 When documenting activities, ensure good production practices (GPPs) are followed at all times. \xc2\xb7 Ensure refuse and waste products are managed and destroyed as per the current SOP\xe2\x80\x99s \xc2\xb7 Employ professional and clear communication practices to maintain a positive and progressive team atmosphere. \xc2\xb7 Other responsibilities as assigned by department leads. Schedules are usually out a week in advance. You would get paid an hourly wage and the shifts would normally be 8, 10 or 12 hours long, Monday to Friday. You\xe2\x80\x99ll get tons of one the job training and the opportunity to learn from world-class cannabis connoisseurs.
