Transdev Canada is hiring Casual Paratransit Operators for our Regina location.





As a Paratransit Operator, you will provide essential transportation services for individuals with disabilities and mobility challenges, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Your Role




Safely and courteously assist passengers with boarding, securing mobility devices, and disembarking from the vehicle. Operate Paratransit vehicles following all traffic regulations, company safety protocols, and accessible transportation standards. Follow assigned routes and schedules, making stops at designated locations to ensure passengers' timely arrival at their destinations. Provide a safe, respectful, and empathetic environment for passengers, addressing their specific needs and concerns. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any defects or maintenance issues to the maintenance team. Maintains a strong attendance record. Possess a functional knowledge of the demographics of the service area. Notifies dispatch of deviations, overload, accidents, passenger incidents, medical/behavioral problems, or bus mechanical/electrical trouble.

Your Profile




You have a valid SK Class 4 Unrestricted license. You have a clear driver abstract and adherence to safety regulations. Prior experience in passenger transportation, especially with individuals with disabilities, is an asset. You have strong customer service skills and empathy for passengers with disabilities. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to read maps, interpret transit operating rules and policies. You have the ability to assist passengers with disabilities and mobility devices. You have physical ability to perform pre- and post-trip inspections, assist passengers and must be able to lift 50lbs.. You are able to pass vulnerable records check and drug/alcohol testing. You are reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and willingness to work a variety of shift.

Your Location




This is a casual, unionized position located in Regina (SK). Shifts are subject to frequent changes based on operational needs. Transit environment: early, split, late, weekends and holidays shifts may be required.
