Job Description
Child Support Worker
The Sheltering Tree is currently looking for a dedicated, trustworthy, and energetic Overnight Child Support Worker. Child Support Workers provide support to children and youth on a one-to-one basis, or in a team environment, in home and community settings.
Candidates must possess:
The ability to build trusting relationships with children and youth
The ability to participate as a part of an interdisciplinary treatment team
Effective social skills and able to act as a positive role model for children and youth
The ability to implement a child's programming to help the child achieve their clinical goals
The ability to set limits and expectations while maintaining therapeutic rapport
Strong written communication skills, efficient at writing progress notes and reporting
Ability to read, understand and follow treatment plans and help clients meet their individual goals
Experience working with children and youth with special needs is an asset
Please note: We are currently ONLY in need of Overnight Support Staff. 10-12 hour shifts, awake overnight shifts. Looking for someone who would like casual hours and has a flexible schedule.
