Our Housing & Community Development Department is looking for a dedicated Casual Home Support Worker to join the team.

Position Responsibilities

The Home Support worker provides support to assigned clients with physical, mental or emotional inabilities by supporting and promoting independent living. Your duties may include basic light housekeeping, laundry, client transportation to appointments and shopping, companioning, and meal preparation. Physical strength is required for moderate lifting or heavier housekeeping duties, such as vacuuming.

Qualifications

Requires Grade 12; a valid Alberta driver's license, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, an aptitude/interest in working with special populations and the ability to maintain confidentiality. You must pass an RCMP Vulnerable Records Check and Child Welfare Check. You will also be asked to provide a Driver's Abstract. Standard First Aid certification is an asset.

Hours

Monday to Friday, On-Call Basis

Compensation

Starting salary $25.83 per hour as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
