Position Summary
We're looking for an experienced Casual Occupational Health Nurse to join our growing rehab and disability management team. This role is on-site with our client in Elora. You'll provide health services to employees -- everything from education and promoting healthy habits to treating illness and injury, and supporting workers through their recovery.
What You'll Do
Deliver Occupational Health Services to staff and manage the day-to-day running of the health center
Manage occupational work claims (WSIB), including paperwork and updates
Help employees return to work after injury or illness, whether work-related or not
Keep and maintain electronic health records for employees
Track employees' treatment progress for workplace-related health issues
Oversee the Medical Surveillance program with physician support
Provide health center metrics to site management
Meet with employees for health and wellness check-ins and suggest referrals as needed
Work with Environment, Health & Safety teams on ergonomic assessments to support early return to work
Provide emergency care with up-to-date First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications
Collaborate with doctors and healthcare providers to support patient care plans
Lead wellness and mental health programs
Develop mental first aid education programs
Provide health advice to staff and management
Promote healthy lifestyle initiatives like exercise, nutrition, and quitting smoking
Help gather and review health data related to workplace hazards
Work with business leaders to lower disability claim and health-related costs
Other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
2-5 years of nursing experience
Valid CPR and First Aid certificates
Good knowledge of disability legislation and workplace health and safety regulations
Nice to Have
Experience in Occupational Health Nursing
Diploma or Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (DOHN or COHN-C)
What We're Looking For

Ability to keep information confidential
Great communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
