This temporary position is a physically demanding role. As the airport casual labourer, you are able to operate outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods of time while adhering to all bylaws and regulations. Typical duties include the operation of basic hand and power tools, while following established safety procedures.

Our ideal candidate:

• Will be able to work within a team environment and follow directions, while supporting internal and external customers.
• You are reliable, punctual and possess communication skills to deal with challenging situations when they arise.
• Has the ability to operate light and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Will project a positive image of self and the organization with all people with whom you come into contact.
• Understands that this position works a variety of shifts, including shift work, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of Grade 12 or high school equivalency.
• Possess a valid Class 3 Alberta Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• Possess current Standard First Aid, CPR and AED certification, or ability to obtain.
• Winter snow removal maintenance experience is an asset.
• An equivalent combination of management approved training and experience may be considered.
• This position is identified as safety sensitive and requires completion of a satisfactory pre-employment drug screen.
