BC Insulators Union is currently seeking a proactive and motivated office professional to add to our administrative team to provide vacation and sick day relief for our Administrative Assistants. The role will begin with training days, vacation relief, sick day relief, extra help as needed. All shifts will fall into normal business hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm (6.5 paid hours/day).

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support for senior union officers, manage employer relations, and assist members.
• Format documents, letters, and reports, and prepare financial data.
• Manage office calendars and make travel arrangements.
• Handle reception duties, including telephone, email, and front counter member service inquiries.
• Assist with various office tasks as required to support the office team.
• Basic bookkeeping skills.
• Process member dues payments.
• Additional duties, as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Certified or proven proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong time management, scheduling, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with heavy workloads and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Flexible and positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Sensitivity to confidential matters may be required.

Wages and Benefits: As per MOVEUP (COPE 378) CIATU Collective Agreement, Category 2 or 3, to be determined. From $28.68-$31.57.
