Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pet Store Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support while handling transactions efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a knack for sales, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries related to pet food ands supplies, ensuring a positive shopping experience. Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and credit card processing. Provide product demonstrations and technical sales support to enhance customer understanding of products. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and services. Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and promote sales. Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism and resolve them effectively. Utilize strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods. Uphold phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a high standard of customer service.

Experience

Previous experience in pet food and supply retail sales or customer service is preferred. Proficiency in basic math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Familiarity with technology sales, including product demos and technical sales, is a plus. Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and merchandising effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members confidently.
