Description Prepare, serve, sell, store and handle all food and beverage items. This includes welcoming customers, taking and preparing orders and receiving payment. These tasks must be carried out in the time allowed and in a professional manner in order to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction possible.
  • Understand that our client is our main priority.
  • Welcome customers in a polite and pleasant manner, with eye contact and a friendly smile.
  • Follow the recipes, control the production of the recipes, the garnishes and present the dishes ordered.
  • Have the correct and adequate set up in the kitchen / work station. This includes making orders, storing, storing all fresh, dry, frozen goods and condiments.
  • Process orders and enter them accurately in the POS system.
  • Receive payment from customer and make the difference.
  • Handle, store and rotate the stored products properly.
  • Responsible for operation, regular maintenance, cleaning of assigned equipment and machines.
  • In charge of supplying stocks, preparing and storing perishable food in order to maintain quality.
  • Complete the various cleaning checklists daily.
  • Put all the utensils used during the shift in its place, clean and tidy up its work place as well as the storage areas (includes sweeping and moping refrigerators, freezers), empty, clean and store the trash bins.
  • End of shift cleaning tasks will include; sweeping and moping, sanitizing tables and chairs after each guest,
  • When no utility is present in the unit, it is the responsibility of the FOH staff to aid the kitchen with closing duties and cleaning tasks (ie: dishes, wiping down surfaces, sweeping and moping.)
  • Receiving daily restaurant / bar orders, responsible for the placement of stock and storage of perishable goods on a daily basis.
  • Be 100% responsible for the quality of product served.
  • Practice general and specific cleanings using the appropriate products as indicated by the manager in order to meet hygiene standards.
  • Take the instructions from the manager when you start your shift and verify stock with the manager before leaving to make sure everything is in order.
  • Other tasks if assigned.
We are only accepting applicants who currently reside in Canada, AND who have a valid work permit/PR card or citizenship.
  • Preferred high school diploma.
  • Fluency in oral and written English and French. Ability to read, speak and understand both languages to communicate with customers and take orders.
  • Experience in problem solving involving customer service.
  • Basic math skills necessary to be able to use a cash register, make change, add up customers, account for amounts to be deposited, prepare cash deposits, and add up all other charges.
  • Hold the desirable MAPAQ hygiene and sanitation certificate is an asset.
  • Brand certificate, if necessary.
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote different menu items.
  • Ability to use keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check, order and close an addition.
  • Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time.
  • Covid Vaccination Requirements: A requirement of employment in the Canadian airports as federally regulated properties, is that all employees must be double vaccinated and wear masks when on the premises.
