Full-Time Cashier

to join the Customer Service team at our

Aurora location

Position Summary

As the first and last point of contact with our customers, the

Cashier

plays a critical role in delivering a

best-in-class shopping experience

. This role requires someone who is energetic, approachable, and passionate about customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your number one priority as a Cashier is

delivering an exceptional customer experience

. You will do this by:

Greeting customers warmly as they enter and leave the store Listening to customers' needs, ensuring questions and concerns are addressed Maintaining awareness of product knowledge, promotions, sales, and new items Helping customers find products and recommending add-ons to complete their shopping list Processing purchases, wrapping/bagging items, and offering carry-outs when needed
You are also responsible for:

Operating cash registers, computers, scanners, and payment systems accurately Maintaining proper cash handling and completing sales transactions with precision Rectifying price discrepancies and processing exchanges, refunds, and credits Maintaining cleanliness and organization of your work area Assisting in merchandising, product display, and general store housekeeping Supporting your team members across departments when needed Adhering to company policies, procedures, and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention Performing additional duties as required to support store operations
Skillset Requirements

A passion for food - you are a true foodie at heart! Dedication to delivering

exceptional customer service

Strong communication skills - patient, approachable, and able to de-escalate challenging situations Team player who leads by example with a positive attitude Previous cash-handling or POS (Point of Sale) experience is an asset Grocery or food industry experience, and Food Safety Handlers Certification, are assets Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, with the ability to cover shifts on short notice Comfortable standing for extended periods of time High school diploma or equivalent preferred
