We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Grocery Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining store standards, and assisting customers with their shopping needs. As a Grocery Associate, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while ensuring that the store is well-organized and stocked.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including shelves, displays, and checkout areas.
Assist with inventory management by restocking shelves and keeping track of product availability.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the store.
Qualifications:
Not Squeamish- job entails plating and wrapping of fresh cut meats and poultry.
Food Handlers Certificate - Required- (if you don't have at the time of hire, you would be asked to get it- You would be reimbursed if you pass the test)
Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred but not required.
Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in English.
Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly work environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
Familiarity with technology sales or experience in using point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
Ability to lift 50lbs or more
Perform property maintenance duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, washing, forward facing merchandise and keeping the store clean.
Other duties as assigned.
