How Will You Contribute to the Company?


The Carrier Sales Engineering team is to ensure Cradlepoint’s product line is the lead solution in our space within the North American Operators (T-Mobile, US Cellular, Dish Networks, Bell Canada, Rogers, and TELUS). This role ensures Cradlepoint's portfolio of solutions is front and center technically with the operator’s technical sales and network engineering staff. This role leverages itself as a technical resource focused on Canadian Cellular Service Providers (CSPs) and allows Cradlepoint to scale using the CSP’s sales and engineering sales resources.

What Will You Do?


  • Responsible for support of Canadian Operators (Bell, Rogers, TELUS)
  • Support Carrier Business Development teams to ensure the Cradlepoint product line is the lead solution in our space
  • Support the technical development, and implementation of Carrier Programs, Products, and Solutions
  • Define and discuss with sales management a pre-sales strategy and tactics to implement in the territory to meet agreed targets i.e., revenue growth, account management, market penetration, and new accounts
  • Lead, drive and motivate the "cross-functional team", i.e., product management, marketing, operations, delivery, and support - to achieve goals
  • Identify, define, and develop new business opportunities in collaboration with sales, marketing, and business development people
  • Build excellent relations with clients. Teach Carrier Channel teams to fish and drive new opportunities and deals
  • Ensure customer technical issues are resolved without delay. Conduct Field training for Carrier Sales Reps
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the marketplace and respond to competitive pressures and initiatives
  • Own customer trials in sync with Sales teams and Operations
  • Ensure proper management and controls are in place and that both external and internal reporting is effective
  • Work with support services to ensure coordination of activity and effective support to customers and field sales force
  • Liaise with technical staff to ensure effective two-way communications and issue resolution


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Five (5) years of experience in the networking industry and must have Carrier experience
  • Cloud and/or SDN fluency
  • Experience with LAN/WAN network topologies and interworking (i.e., MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Experience with Enterprise, Carrier, or Public Wi-Fi solutions (i.e., Meraki, Ruckus)
  • Solid understanding of 3GPP (HSPA+, LTE, EVDO) Broadband Wireless Data Architectures
  • Experience with Virtual Private Network Solutions and Technology
  • Experience with Network Management Solutions
  • Experience with Network Security (i.e., UTM, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SBC, ACL, NAT)
  • Experience with Network and/or Customer Experience Analytics
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across an organization
  • Must be able to travel and schedule overnight stays approximately (up to 60% Travel)
  • Must have strong presentation and communication skills
  • Location flexible within Canada, but Eastern Canada preferred
