We are seeking a motivated Carpenter Helper to assist skilled carpenters in various construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will support the team by performing a range of tasks that contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and industrial structures. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in carpentry and construction, with opportunities to develop a diverse skill set including blueprint reading, woodworking, and the use of power tools.
Responsibilities
Assist with framing, drywall installation, and finishing work
Support in concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry tasks
Aid in cabinet installation, flooring, tile laying, and siding projects
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
Follow schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate project execution
Perform demolition, restoration, or renovation tasks as needed
Assist with roofing, caulking, and painting projects
Support plumbing and electrical work under supervision
Heavy lifting of materials and equipment to facilitate project progress
Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
Requirements
Basic knowledge of construction principles and carpentry techniques
Ability to read blueprints and schematics is preferred
Experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, or woodworking is a plus
Familiarity with concrete forming, masonry, flooring installation, or tile laying is advantageous
Maintenance Person experience or general construction background is beneficial
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
Strong work ethic with attention to safety protocols on-site
Valid driver's license preferred for site access or material transportation
Prior experience in construction estimating or manufacturing is a plus but not required
