Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter / Lead hand to Perform, Oversee and Coordinate various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and maintenance services. You will be responsible for Working onsite, leading a team, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining safety standards on-site.

Duties

Perform tasks and direct work to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. Supervise the work of employees and sub contractors. Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Train and mentor team members in various construction techniques and best practices. Collaborate with manager to ensure timelines and project goals are met. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Requirements

Proven experience in the construction industry. Proficiency in general construction and maintenance services. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks. Valid driver's license required. Valid Certificate of Conduct. Carpenter Red Seal Certification an asset but not required
