We are seeking skilled and versatile individuals for the position of Carpenter/Apprentice. This role is essential in ensuring the successful execution of various construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills that encompass multiple facets of construction, from site prep, forming and pouring concrete, framing, siding, and finishing, and will be able to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
Perform concrete forming, cutting and installing rebar, and placing and finishing concrete.
Execute cabinet installation, flooring installation, and tile laying with precision.
Engage in construction painting, caulking, and siding installation to enhance project aesthetics.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and construction tasks.
Conduct restoration work on existing structures, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
Participate in roofing projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Perform heavy lifting as required during various phases of construction.
Skills
Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
Strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and general construction practices.
Familiarity with masonry techniques and concrete forming processes.
Knowledgeable in flooring installation methods including tile laying.
Capable of using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Previous experience in restoration projects is highly desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday.
Basic plumbing skills along with some electrical experience would be beneficial.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. This position requires a proactive approach to tasks, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing project demands.
