Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on diverse projects, including residential and commercial construction, renovations, and repairs. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications. Perform masonry work as needed for various construction projects. Lay tiles accurately and efficiently in designated areas. Utilize power tools and hand tools safely to complete tasks. Install siding, drywall, and other materials as required by the project. Conduct heavy lifting and moving of materials as necessary. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry for a minimum of 8 years. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Strong skills in masonry, fence building, formwork, decking, tile laying, drywall installation, siding application, and electrical work are preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday. Familiarity with using various power tools safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good physical condition with the ability to stand for long periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
