We are seeking a skilled

Carpenter / Lead Hand

to join our team at Sunset Docks Muskoka. This role is responsible for decking and small construction projects, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong carpentry skills, the ability to manage a team, and a solid understanding of construction processes.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead daily operations on job sites, ensuring adherence to company guidelines, safety protocols, and product specifications. Operate and maintain a variety of power tools and equipment with confidence and care. Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure work meets company standards. Provide training, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Communicate effectively with clients and management, providing updates and addressing issues promptly. Troubleshoot and problem-solve on-site challenges with efficiency and professionalism.
Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory or lead hand role within the construction or carpentry industry. Strong carpentry background with the ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both customers and coworkers. Comfortable using construction management software and digital tools. Valid driver's license (required).
