As a Carpenter , you will assist with a wide variety of projects, including interior framing, exterior siding, concrete formwork, and detailed finish work. This position requires the ability to contribute to all phases of the carpentry process, ensuring high-quality workmanship on every task. A solid foundation in carpentry is essential, and the ideal candidate will bring diverse construction experience to the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for each project.
• Determine specifications and calculate material requirements.
• Assist in starting and completing projects on time, following the drawings and plans provided.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join moldings, wood materials, drywall, and plastic materials.
• Work as a carpenter's helper or laborer when needed to support project completion.
• Collaborate with and handle various types of glass and aluminum materials.
• Commercial service work.
• Perform a wide range of commercial service work.
• Operate a variety of tools including skill saw, chop saw, table saw, radial arm saw, drills, drill press, and air tools.
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures on the job site.
• Regular physical work, including standing, walking, climbing, and using tools that require control and steadiness.
• Maintain physical balance and perform tasks requiring strength and endurance in various positions.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Experience in the construction trade or a similar industry is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Ability to operate various tools with accuracy and efficiency.
• Strong physical stamina and capability to work in a variety of positions and conditions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Apprenticeship in Carpentry or a Carpentry Apprenticeship Certificate (required).
• 1+ years of carpentry experience is an asset.
• Certificate of Condict (required).
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract (required).

Hours of work: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
