Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and carpentry, with the ability to read and interpret schematics, perform restoration work, and execute various building tasks. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is proficient in using hand tools and has experience in roofing, tile laying, and construction estimating.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications. Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools. Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety. Perform restoration tasks on existing structures as needed. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently. Conduct construction estimating to provide accurate project timelines and material needs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, and chisels. Strong understanding of roofing techniques and materials. Ability to plumb structures accurately for proper alignment. Experience with tile laying for flooring or wall applications. Knowledge of construction estimating practices for effective project planning. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
