Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual for the position of Carpenter. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction and carpentry techniques, demonstrating proficiency in both residential and commercial projects. This role requires a hands-on approach with a focus on quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites.

Location:

Greater Moncton and Surrounding Areas

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

Perform framing, formwork, finishing, and general carpentry work on residential and commercial sites

Carry out concrete forming, plastering, and rebar installation as required

Engage in custom fabrication to deliver tailored solutions for clients

Conduct roofing, siding, and flooring installations with attention to detail

Install cabinets, doors, and fixtures as part of remodeling projects

Assist with plumbing, electrical work, masonry, tile laying, and other general maintenance tasks

Collaborate with coworkers and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution

Respond to change orders and adapt to evolving site requirements

Train apprentices or support junior staff as needed

Ensure full compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and OHS regulations

Requirements:

Minimum of proven 3 years of carpentry experience or completion of a certified apprenticeship program

Experience in both residential and commercial construction environments

Proficient in carpentry tools and materials, both manual and power-operated

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and construction drawings

Strong understanding of construction methods and job site safety standards

Good knowledge of English and basic math skills

Physically fit with the stamina to perform demanding tasks

Willingness to work in a team environment and take initiative

Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
