Job Description
Job Title: Carpenter - Semi-Automated Panelized Wall Line
Position Overview:
The Carpenter will work as part of the production team manufacturing
panelized wall systems
in asemi-automated facility
. This role involves reading shop drawings, assembling wall panels using both traditional carpentry tools and automated machinery, and ensuring quality, precision, and safety throughout the process.Key Responsibilities:
Assemble
panelized wall components
(studs, plates, sheathing, insulation, etc.) according to shop drawings and production plans. Operatesemi-automated machinery
such as saws, framing tables, nailing bridges, and material handling systems. Ensure panels meetquality standards
, including correct dimensions, fastener patterns, and material specifications. Interpret and followtechnical drawings, layouts, and work orders
accurately. Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficientproduction flow
. Performroutine maintenance
and cleaning of tools and equipment. Identify and reportmaterial shortages or defects
to the supervisor. Maintain aclean and organized work area
in compliance with safety standards. Participate incontinuous improvement
initiatives for process efficiency and quality enhancement.Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years
of carpentry or framing experience (manufacturing or construction). Ability toread and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
. Experience usingpower tools, pneumatic nailers, measuring instruments, and jigs
. Familiarity withautomated or semi-automated production equipment
is an asset. Strongattention to detail
, quality, and precision. Capable oflifting up to 50 lbs
and working in a fast-paced production environment. Excellentteamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
. Commitment tosafety and continuous improvement
.Preferred:
Experience in
prefabricated or modular construction
environments. Basic understanding ofmanufacturing processes and lean production principles
. Forklift or overhead crane operation experience (training provided if needed).Working Conditions:
Indoor manufacturing facility environment. Exposure to moderate noise, sawdust, and moving machinery. * Standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
