Piruqsaijit Ltd is a Property Owner and a Management company with residential and commercial properties in Canada's northernmost territory of Nunavut. We are currently seeking a full- time experienced Carpenter to perform a variety of duties in the Hamlet of Baker Lake.

We are looking for someone with these skills:

- Carpentry experience

- Interior/exterior lighting, plumbing, electrical, drywall repair, painting

- Installation of windows, doors and trim

- Knowledge of building and construction

- Ability to install flooring, mudding, painting and framing

- Building landings and stairs

- Basic plumbing experience (P Traps, changing faucet systems, fixing toilets etc.)

- Attention to detail

- Ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools

- Work well with others and independently

- Lifting, bending and carrying

- Follow all safety protocols

The qualifications you should have:

- 5+ years experience

- Comfort working in high-stress environments with extreme weather conditions

- Valid class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract

Work schedule and expectations:

- Monday to Friday

- Some evenings and weekends

- Overtime

- Must be available for after hours maintenance and emergency services

- Assist other departments as required to ensure overall smooth operation

- Daily building checks

- Some housekeeping to assist in the overall cleanliness in and around the properties

- Maintaining all working and critical areas to extreme cleanliness and high standards including maintenance shops and mechanical rooms

- Prompt responses in emergency situations

- Assist with inventory control

- Maintain routine and preventative maintenance schedules
