Title: Carpenter, log homes (72310) Looking for full time permanent employee as a carpenter (particularly log home builder). Following will be the main job duties: o Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements o Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools o Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials o Prepare tenders and quotations o Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems o Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware o Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites o Survey building locations and levels o Instruct apprentices o Estimate costs and materials o Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments o Operate chainsaw to fell, delimb and buck trees Forestry and logging industry experience This position may require willingness to work in remote locations/Physically demanding/must have own transportation Number of job vacancies: 3 Compensation: pay range from $30 to $35.
