Overview

J.C. Doran Ventures is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and the ability to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercials renovations. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and clients.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Fabricate and assemble wooden structures such as frameworks, doorframes, and window frames. Have very strong problem solving skills. Apply caulking for sealing joints and seams in construction projects. Install various types of siding. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Lift heavy materials and equipment as required for various tasks. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Strong skills in caulking, siding installation, fabrication, assembly. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.09-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 50 per week
