Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter / Framer to join our construction team. This role is essential in building and repairing dock structures, framing components, and related marine infrastructure. The Carpenter / Framer will work both on land and over water, supporting a wide range of projects across the Okanagan.

Key Responsibilities

Build, install, and repair dock structures, walkways, ramps, and other marine framing components. Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Measure, cut, assemble, and fasten wood, timber, and composite materials. Operate power tools, saws, drills, and other carpentry equipment safely and efficiently. Collaborate with site supervisors, crane operators, and rigging crews to meet project timelines. Assist in timber frame installations, decking, and custom structural designs. Maintain a safe and organized work area, following all safety procedures. Support general site duties as needed in a marine construction environment.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a Carpenter or Framer (marine construction experience is an asset). Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials. Ability to read and follow construction drawings and blueprints. Physically fit, comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Experience with docks, decks, or heavy timber construction is preferred. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Valid driver's license; ability to work flexible hours when required. Experience operating a boat- as we work on the water!

Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
