Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist experienced carpenters in various tasks, contributing to the successful completion of projects. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. The Carpenter Helper will engage in hands-on activities that include assembling structures, installation of materials, and general maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist carpenters in assembling and constructing frameworks for buildings and other structures. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. Aid in construction painting and caulking to ensure a polished finish on projects. Help with construction estimating by measuring areas accurately for material needs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools are stored properly after use. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a maintenance person role or related field is preferred but not required. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction is essential. Must be familiar with workplace safety guidelines and able to follow them Ability to follow instructions from experienced carpenters and work as part of a team. Must to be able to measure and cut accurately Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks accurately. Willingness to learn new skills related to carpentry and construction practices. Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials when necessary.

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.11-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
